A Boo-Boo, A Problem, And A Parent’s Instinct
The day was going smoothly—until little Lukas bumped his head on the corner of a table. The tears started, and dad went into full “fix the boo-boo” mode. Frozen peas were too cold, a dish rag with ice was messy and scary, and nothing seemed to help.
While waiting on hold with the pediatrician, inspiration struck. What if the ice pack was hidden inside Lukas’ cute winter cap? It would soothe the ouchie, feel cozy, and distract him with something familiar and comforting.
How Ouchie Cap Was Born
As a parent, you’d do absolutely anything—no matter how silly, creative, or exhausting—to keep your child happy and healthy. Singing the same song every night, talking like their favorite cartoon, or flying medicine into the “hangar” with airplane sounds… you know the drill.
That same love and determination is exactly how Ouchie Cap was born. Tim, a parent from Elma, New York, was spending his very first day home alone with his baby boy, Lukas, after mom, Ewelina, returned to work.
From One Child’s Smile To Every Child’s Comfort
The crying stopped instantly—and Lukas started giggling. In that moment, Ouchie Cap was born. A simple idea that turned pain into comfort and tears into smiles.
Our very first character, Toby the Puppy, was inspired by our own best friend—our golden lab who always knew how to make everything better. Now, Toby and his friends are here to comfort your child, just like they did for us, right when they need it most.
